I already have a Mathcad license — is switching worth it?
If you're a solo user with no need to share work with a team, Mathcad's worksheet model still works. CalcAuthor is built for the parts Mathcad doesn't do: browser-based access from anywhere, team roles, and a document that's already formatted as a deliverable instead of a worksheet you export and reformat.
Can I bring my existing calculations over?
There's no automated Mathcad import today. You'd rebuild calculations in CalcAuthor's own calculation blocks, which use plain variable names and units rather than Mathcad's region-based worksheet layout.
Does my whole team need to switch at once?
No. CalcAuthor's Individual plan works for one person, so you can try it on a single project before deciding whether to move the rest of the team over.
